Mid-Morning Skate: Jan. 30, 2013
Matt Anderson made his NHL debut last night during the New Jersey Devils game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. The 30 year old, who has spent the past two-and-a-half season playing for Albany, logged six minutes and 57 seconds of ice time and nearly found the back of the net during the second period. In the end, New Jersey lost 2-1 in a shootout, but extended its point streak to five games (3-0-2, 8 pts.).
As for the AHL Devils, the team will hold an optional skate at Times Union Center at 1 pm today and a full practice at the arena at 10:30 am tomorrow. Albany returns to action with a 7:05 pm game at Providence Friday and a 7 pm contest at Portland Saturday.
