Mid-Morning Skate: Feb. 6, 2013
The New Jersey Devils organization was 2-for-2 against the New York Rangers organization. The NHL Devils skated to a 3-1 win with the help of a pair of goals from David Clarkson, a tally by Adam Henrique and 24 saves by Martin Brodeur.
On AHL ice, the Devils defeated the Connecticut Whale, 4-3, in a shootout. Matt Anderson had a goal and two assists and scored in the shootout. Phil DeSimone and Corbin McPherson also scored in regulation and Chad Wiseman registered a shootout goal. Keith Kinkaid made 20 saves during 65 minutes of game action and turned aside all four shootout attempts.
